Nah your Rockwool is doing just as it should. The plant will root the whole cube. Lots of folks take the cubes and just toss em in soil or whatever media they’re growing in and just let em rock. Being a sterile media they’re great for clones!

The goal is just to lower the chlorine levels so its not lethal to the microbes right?

I run autos so there isn’t a whole bunch of defoliation that I do. I let them go wild in veg then the first sign of lady bits im mowing out most of the big stuff. I leave anything that I feel can uptake light without getting in the way of progress. This is also when I lop off any of the lower branches that I feel might be a waste of energy.…
