• I have been using a new sprayer that has an electric pump to water my plants. I have noticed a kind of egg smell coming from the water that comes out of it. I looked it up and it says it from sulfur gas and that it is harmless to plants( find that hard to believe) but I was wondering if anyone else has ran into this issue and if there’s anything…

    • I’ve had that issue with various jugs I used for watering. Apart from the malordorous funk, I’ve not seen any problems, but there’s way better minds than mine on here.

      • Some well water will have sulfur. It’s not usually a problem as it’s an essential element. There’s no need to filter free nutrients like calcium, magnesium and sulfur unless the ppm is above 250.

      • Try aerating your water before putting it in the sprayer if you’re on a well you can put a garden hose from your house under the cap , flowing into the well and turning it on the splashing breaks the surface tension of the water in the well and lets the sulfur gas release…

      • am I over thinking this?!?!?! I was getting ready to put two plants outside which one of the goals is to collect some pollen.other is to try to get feminized pollen from a banana jealousy auto. My question is if a plant gets pollinated and seeded outside. Are those seeds going to be happier growing outside intead of indoor since that’s were they…

          • How does your new growth look? if it is healthy and lush your on the right track. So deficiencies will not ever correct the damage is done and will not correct in old leaves. And yellowing of the leaves have you looked into magnesium deficiencies at all? They are pretty common in flower. If it is a magnesium deficiency you can foliar feed…

                • Without seeing a pic we can really only guess. During stretch when the plants start to consume a lot more. You can get yellowing in the new growth. It should green up throughout the day or catch up at some point. I heard someone on the show one time say it’s a sulfur issue. They are just burning right through it. Maybe some magnesium sulfate,…

                • I noticed this yellowing on top leaves yesterday. I got some good comments I added 1 tbs of epsom salt 2ml tsp one signal and 2.5 ml calmag watering in at 6.5ph then I checked my soil ph this morning since I’ve seen no change(might be to soon) but I noticed my ph is at 5.8. I’m guessing that’s why my plant looks like she is needing calcium and…

                • Switched to 12/12 on 5/22/24. Every thing is looking pretty good but I noticed the slight yellowing or neon greening of the top leaves on the tops of each branch. Nothing lower on the plant just in the new growth. I’ve been slowly turning the light up it’s only at 450 at cannopy level. I was thinking’s nitrogen but that would be not only the top…

                  • If it’s happening at the top of the plant towards the newer growth that would be an immobile nutrient deficiency. That will narrow down your deficiency. Calcium is inmobile and so is sulfur. That yellowing I believe is sulfur. When I flip photos to flower, the first two weeks the newer growth tends to be more of a yellow green than say yellow yellow

You’re in week 2. That plant needs a good amount of Magnesium at this stage. I would add Epsom Salt at 1.5 Tbsp/gal for one watering, then 1 Tbsp per gallon until symptoms clear up.
