• So I’m looking for a mainlining expert for some advice please.

    The story so far.

I mainlined @node 5 and used nodes 3 and 4 as the main lines.

Each of the 4 main arms has 4 nodes.

I have 3 weeks to go before I can put it in the flowering tent.

So the big question is, finally, when should I let it start growing vertically?

I hope this is sufficient information?

    • You’re not technically mainlining. Mainline splits main stalk to 2 nodes (striping off everything below), then those 2 to 4, then 8, etc. Topping and leaving multiple branches on main stalk is not mainlining. It’s just topping to create bush. You can go as wide as you want before allowing vertical grow. I wouldn’t go too much wider than the…

    • These plants are mainlined to 4 branches. You don’t need to grow huge plants to fill a space.

      • Stem crush as you lay and tie down the branches. They’ll swell, become a bit woody and turn rock hard. You can remove the tie downs after a few weeks and they’ll keep their shape. Stem crush the branches as they grow up as well and you’ll never need to support the branches with bamboo or a messy trellis net.

I usually only use one node to split into 2. I like to go vertical until I reach the side or maybe just an inch over the edge of my container that I’m growing in but it really just depends on how many tops you actually want I Iike to stay @ 16 tops or 32 if I’m in over a 7 gal pot. That’s just the way I am comfortable doing it but every one has…

        • Here is my first attempt at a “proper” mainline so don’t roast me too badly.

I waited til I had 5 nodes, chopped the main stem and used nodes 3 and 4 main lines.

Mission was to get 4 main lines and a squat plant.

          Mission accomplished, I think.

At least another 3 weeks of veg and targeted pruning.

        • I need to change/upgrade my carbon filter tonight when the lights go on.

Not a bad problem to have as it shows my weed is dankydoo!

You can’t exactly smell green coming out of the exhaust but you guys all run grows and will know that smell that emanates from the O/P when the filter is insufficient or saturated.

          My replacement is definitely…

I use CANNA© Coco A-B plus the full range of supplements.

I have tried other brands in conjunction with “ton of bud” etc but always got amazing results with CANNA.

I have been fine tuning my nutrient application for 10 years and I’m happy and comfortable with the results now.

My water here is excellent straight from the tap (faucet), perfect pH…

          • The GG4 I posted a pic of earlier is same seed, last time I’ll order from them but she looks and smells great

            • Crazy how two plants from the same strain can look so different? I know technically the Royal Gorrila isn’t named GG#4 but they are allegedly the same.

How long do you have to go?

I just started flushing yesterday, no colour change on the Royal Gorrila or the Somango yet but my Girl Scout Cookies has started to turn lilac in some areas.
