4 months agoAsk a Grow Question Ive grown a crop of seeds from a pack of regular seeds I purchased. This is the first time ive grown seeds. My question is : Has anyone ever discovered mutant seeds? ive found three seeds that look as if two seeds have been grafted together. Kinda like what a coffee bean looks like. Im thinking that maybe two plants may germinate from the one seed. has anyone experienced this? what should I expect if I pop ’em?

Send some pics.
I would imagine popping the fused seed would have a better chance to create more fused seeds or whatever other mutations, than if you planted the non fused seed.

yes, i understand that. would that be desirable? idk. but I wonder if two plants germinate from the one seed, would they both be male? both female? or one female and one male?
my other thought is that if 2 germinate from the one seed, one of the seedlings would be more dominant/vigorous and
out grow the other weaker seedling,
IDK, but Im curious. I’ll definitely try to grow them at some point.

also, how wise would it be to grow 2 plants so close together??

@green-giggles would be super cool if you could get 2x the nutrition on your starting seeds out you get some crazy mutation. Depending where they fused … Do you think you will get two plants or 1?

I suspect two plants will emerge. but idk..
