• Whats up everyone?

Just got a question about curing. I jarred up my harvest 3 days ago for the curing process. I think I may have overdried my harvest slightly. My jars are sitting at a steady 56% humidity for last 3 days with opening twice a day for 10 mins. I normally start my cure at a higher humidity roughly between 60-62. Does the lower humidity stop the cure? Should I continue opening twice a day for first week or should I slow down to once a day or less?

      • Put a piece of apple, lettuce in the jar overnight. Then pull it. It will add moisture without wetting your flower. Then just burp as needed for cure.

      • Or for a little citrus cent you can use an orange peel, the best is the peel from the little cuties as they actually have the perfect mix of moisture and leave a slight smell in the nose but not in the mouth.

          • Leave it closed for 48-72 hours and see where the rh% stabilizes. It’s not necessary to “burp” a jar if the rh% is 60%ish after it stabilizes.

            • @Marty so should I just keep them closed for a month? Ir is the cure done at this point because humidity is to low?

              • @stonedmycology31 that’s how I would proceed. In all honesty, 54-56% isn’t really all that low, but it will tend to burn faster. If it worries you, and you wish to bring the moisture content back up, the other comments on your post give sound advice, so I won’t bore you by repeating it.

Thanks guys. It’s been closed for almost 48 hrs and most are staying between 57-59

              • I’d put a 62% humidity pack in it myself.

                • I would personally put a fresh leaf off of a cannabis plant in your jars for about 4-6 hours and let them sit overnight and check the humidity to rehydrate the buds slightly and don’t leave it in there overnight or it could cause mold and if you choose the orange peels or lettuce OMG SMH be very careful with that stuff
