• I’ve got these two Bubblegum autos in 2 gal pot. They are regs so I planted three hoping for one lady. Got two! I just left them in the same pot. They are getting thirsty. I watered to saturation yesterday and they need water again today. I’m reading some conflicting info on repotting autos. They are just beginning to flower. Would it be OK to up pot them?

      • I’ve never tried to. I always plant them in their own 5 gallon pot. They usually pack the entire thing with roots. 2 in a 2 gallon has to be root bound though…

        • That’s not much root space to share between two plants, I would try to move one to another container, they will be much happier.

          • As small as they are just water more. Trying to seperate will be dangerous and really stressful. Probabaly end up Kim tearing up the roots trying to seperate as well. Next time one plant per pot unless you have a grassroots type bed.

            • These were just a test as I don’t have a lot of experience with autos yet. I’m gonna to be away off and on for the next few weeks, so I am just going to pot up. Can’t decide on cloth or plastic at this point.

              • @Gato420 wouldn’t mater cloth or plastic. Probably plastic better for water retention if you’re going to be away off and on. Up potting wouldn’t be horrible but curious how much more root growth develops after flowering has started.

              Rip chop plant!

I treated with Bigfoot to maybe help dem roots out. Went with cloth and gonna setup this drip irrigation system from Vivosun.

              • I have seen them in a solo cup and get root bound halfway through flowering and they transplanted into a one gallon pot and the plant loved it and started growing more quickly after that and at this point I don’t think it would hurt them as much as it would help them so I say transplant them!

I did. Split the rootball in half with a big ass knife. They were rootbound. Potted up, watered in a little Recharge they look great. Don’t appear to have missed a beat.
