Is anyone using the real buckets with soil? What’s your experience with them and how are you liking them. I have had a huge lifetime event that had greatly reduced my time I can spend my garden and I was trying to get some feedback on the real buckets. I can’t afford to go by some 500$ set up and the real buckets seem like a good price for what you get. Hope everyone has a good night thanks for your time.!.!.!!.!.

The air to water ratio of coco coir really lends itself to sip buckets like the realbuckets. It definitely works the best imo. Why the aversion to coco?

@scottyreal well I have a lot of time and money and unique conversations with my wife why I have 2 100 gallon fabric posts of dirt, worms and rabbits poop in our garage. Really like making my own soil I’m just comfortable and familiar with the whole process, but we had twins in December and it’s just me and my wife so my time priority’s have greatly shifted. Just never used Coco by itself in 20 years would be kind of a big step you think I could mix in pumice(instead of perlite)and rabbit pellets like I do in the soil. well, sorry for the rant. Long story short turned long. I make my own soil and compost and have warm bins and rabbits and a lot of time into my soil and after having the babies, our budget is not the best.that’s why I was kind of leaning towards the real buckets, they seem like a pretty good deal and self-sufficient and self sustaining.

So I’m using AC Infinity’s 1gal sip system with coco and having great results, a friend is using the 2gal sips with peat and loving them

I wouldn’t use them with soil. It will stay too wet and not get enough oxygen to the roots. They will rock out with coco. If it doesn’t fit the budget, you can get cheap bricks on Amazon. You’ll have to make sure to wash and buffer it yourself though.
