• Quick silly little question. What are the pros and cons of going from paper towels germination to a 5 gal grow bag as opposed to a SOLO cup to 3-5 gallon grow bags? And thank you guys for any answer you can provide.

Root mass is bigger when you up-pot a few times, in my experience. Bigger roots, bigger fruits.

        • Restrict the roots and you restrict the stalk’s thickness, Only relevant variable of a stem in relation to yield is girth. Height is irrelevant.

If you know what your doing it actually only introduces more risk for injury to the plant than any benefits.

            • One important thing to note: Autos may do better going straight from germination to the 5 gal. I’ve now read this in multiple grow bibles.
