What kind of insect is this and how do I get rid of it this is an indoor grow

First step is ID, so good start. I like to freeze my bugs so I can get a good picture under a scope without them being all squished and mangled. Then I would send it off to an expert or a university asking nicely for an ID. They may need VERY close shots to accurately identify some things.
IPM stratergy will depend on what it is and your own situation. Are you in veg or flower? How far along? Is the plant actually damaged?
Hope this helps!

@melonfarmer it’s just two plants in a tent not sure if catching and sending out would be worth it lol. And right after I took that little video I killed it with fire hahaha

Do you see any leaf damage? Is there only 1 found so far?
-
@Dude there is some very light random leaf damage. Majority of plant looks good. I have been finding them wandering but usually just one. I have been doing light spraying of lost coast and green cleaner but they keep popping up. Not sure if I’m not doing enough or if something else would work better

From what i have read use 3% Hyrdrogenperoxide. It will kill all bugs and eggs on contact , SO i have read
-
@CaptenKush I have seen that as well just not sure I’m ready to go that extreme it’s not a total infestation yet but soon I won’t be able to spray them. I think that’s only thing that’s been keeping the numbers down they are very healthy otherwise.

That’s really yellow, but looks similar to something I had. My phone identified them as white flies thrips. What kinda phone do you have?
If you have an iPhone, get a super close and clear picture, hit the circle at the bottom of the picture and it will give you plant identification and insect identifier

@SurfDad_grows oh damn I will try that

They mess stufff up, digging in the veins of the leaves and leaf surfacing, crowding on lower growth but they will crawl everywhere. I’ll squash them if I only see a couple. Use lost coast fast while they are still soft or use an air compressor lightly they will all blow off then put them back in your tent. While your tent down before you put them back. Just saying what I did.

@SurfDad_grows ya that’s the downside to growing through a trellis net they are kind of stuck in place lol. Think I might cause more damage then the bugs are doing
-
@badpapa I try everything to avoid a trellis so I can see everything. I had 4 different things because my grow room (ish) is directly into my backyard so I was constantly susceptible.I learned a lot this last year growing definitely. How easy it is to bring anything in unfortunately.

Does you feline friend roam around outside? Because they can be a bug magnet if they go outside and they can bring them inside to your grow!
