4 months agoAsk a Grow Question For those growing in coco. What type of mix are you using with the coco? Are you just using coco nothing else? I’m thinking a mix 80% cocoa, 10% worm castings and 10% per light with dots.

I use 100% coco nothing else and love it

I re-use my coco, after about 6 years of use it’s got a lot of root hair throughout with a small amount of perlite, clay balls, ground up egg shells and, when potting, a 3-4mm layer of diatomaceous earth added about 50mm below the surface.
I also feed salts hi frequency fertigation through a water diffusing tray I secure to the top of my fabric pots. This way I feed 4 times every lights on for 60 seconds to flush, recycle and renew from its reservoir which is supplied from an RO system. Nutes are dumped and reset once every week with a mid week addition till mid flower. EC starts at 2.5 and by mid week it could be down to 1.1.
