No. That’s the beauty. I’m not an auto flower expert by any means. But I saw no one has answered yet. That you’re asking may mean something… It may mean that you need photo. Plants. Because you are bored? And need more action? Auto flowers seem great, but Don’t really allow you to get involved that much.

@sunny i doubt it has anything to do with being bored they probably just want higher potential yield, you can get 10 autos if youre bored itll keep you busy

@thedottiegman I don’t know… I’ve seen this before. This is usually the kind of guy that ends up with a couple hundred plants L O L. I sense itchy hands.

I wouldnt top an auto flower but I dont top in general, autoflowers dont have the time to recover like photos. just my opinion though some people do it

I don’t top mine. Most don’t respond well, from what I’ve seen… Some people do with success but it’s strain dependent I think. For those that veg much longer and have time to recover. I’ve only had 2 so far that could’ve taken it. That’s around 5% of what I’ve put out this year.

I had seen videos of people “mainlining” but they didn’t express the fact that it’s strain dependent definitely glad I asked

I don’t even top my photoperiod unless I over vegetated and will need to keep the plant as short as possible.

“Basementganja” is a yt channel that tops and trains the heck out of autos. let’s put it that way: I wish I’d be able to train my photos like he’s doing his autos

@bepennjier What’s stopping you?
-
@GuppyGirl Lack of diligence and experience. I’m working on it tho and have great plans for next year now that my grow is somewhat dialed in

I definitely top my photos. Autos it’s generally not recommended however it can be done but needs to be done early at the third or fourth node. It’s something I’m going to be experimenting with as I have more horizontal than vertical space and autos are just icing on top for me.

You may consider doing some LST instead. Pinch the top and bend it over to force it to bush out more. You’re definitely not wanting a Xmas tree shape where your top main gets too much light and your side branches get very little. Budclips are really nice for that also.

Don’t top the Autos man, and even if this was a photo I would let it go a little longer before topping. Get a good 4-5 nodes…. But that’s just me. Have fun!

He very careful topping an Auto. You could cause it to flower prematurely.
