OK, I have a question specifically dealing with harvesting when one is growing a sativa or sativa dominant. What should the trichomes Look like at harvest? I personally was shooting for mostly cloudy with about 10 to 20% Amber, but I’ve noticed that the high is not a sativa high. If any thing it’s lacking a high. I have a book marijuana horticulture by George Cervantes That states resin gland development will be in one of three stages, clear translucent or milky, white and amber. Harvest when the majority of glands are clear and a few glands have started to turn milky, white harvesting plants too early before a few of the glands turn milky will make them less so psychoactive because they hold less THC Harves at this point will yield cerebral soaring head stone, the body will be less affected pure sativa and sativa dominant. Strands are perfect for this harvest scenario 1/2 50% of the Trey combs have turned a creamy translucent color for absolute peak brightness at this point the high will be both cerebral and physical with a good head and body stone. My question is, I always thought this was too early What does the community say?

I have no experience growing haze indoors but I’d love to get my hands on some Quaze aka Dr Grinspoon. Since flowering time is so long, I’d look for any excuse to chop it early, personally. And your reasoning for harvesting with clear trichs is solid. I’ve found it difficult to differentiate between sativa or indica dominant hybrids at many different times, so I say go for early harvest for maximum psychedelia.

I plan to grow Golden Tiger next year and I’m not waiting 14 weeks to get something that just puts me to sleep 😉 so thanks for the reminder. also you can partially harvest at differnt times and see what you like more, this way you know what to look for in the next run.

Yeah, I’m just trying to get a better understanding of what I’m looking at. Like when is peak potency for a sativa versus an Indica? I have eight Cinderella 99 plants going right now that’s a sativa dominant strain. Just looking for that racing sativa type of high Not trying to waste a harvest If that makes sense

That and I think it would be cool if everybody had a better understanding of when to harvest strains instead of just going by breeders suggestions. I myself suck at harvesting. I’m always overthinking it

Hoping more people comment on this as well. I harvested some plants a while back that were a lot of clear and a few milky and had it tested and it came back at 25% or 26% thc. I’ll find the report and post it.

For me everything was as the books and broscience, let it go a little longer thankfully, but after everything I still think it was a few weeks early as I didn’t know the flower time. It’s a you’ll sleep till your alarm goes off. Lemon chem smell, not much for taste but it’ll put you to bed. Usually indica gives me energy and concentration with pain relief but this definitely helps my pain and helps me sleep hard. Just found my first 2 beans in it so I know now to go 10 to maybe 14 weeks.
I love the WAAAH WAAAH visual black hole white static closing in before snapping back to reality feelings after rips.

So I harvested the Cinderella 99 at 50 and 51 days. The trichomes were cloudy and clear. As suggested in the book I tried to sample out on the stereo while I was harvesting The sample had an amazing high, really upbeat sativa type Which is perfect because Cinderella 99 is a sativa dominant strain Looks like I figured out when I should be harvesting the sativa‘s
