• Any northeast Ohio growers here?

Have a question for any of the Vet outdoor growers. I’ve been growing indoors for a few months now, but come spring, I plan on taking things outdoors while I redo the grow room. I plan on having clones and starting seeds simply because the clones I have not yet verified are female but the seeds are. My big question is, around when should I think about popping seeds and rotting clones to take outdoors?

Beware of Black Walnut trees in Ohio they will ruin everything.

        • walnuts contain a toxin called juglone in their root system and nothing should be planted in a diameter half again or double the size of the drip zone of the tree … better yet I’d just use some deep raised beds to avoid the toxin

          • @ol-no-7 OK I never knew that before. Was planning on getting some big pots or making a raised bed outside anyways so shouldn’t be much of an issue.

          • I live in northWESTERN Ohio, May 14 is a pretty good frost date for me, that being said. I have April 4-18 as my window to start seeds. This give me some time to veg them before they go out. If it gets cold I’ll just move the to the garage. Yes, I keep them in 5 gallon fabric pots.
If everything is ok I give them 1 – 2 weeks before I flip them to flower. This way I’ll miss the cold temps and mold in Sept.
Ill be enjoying the fruits in mid August. 😎

              • @wraiths1 yeah i have looked all that up and even asked my dad when he starts his non cannabis garden since he was raised on a working farm. Mostly im trying to gather as much info from as many growers as i can so i can come up with a system and timing that i feel is right for me. If that makes any sense to any one else but me lol!!!

              • If you have the room you can start NOW keep it in veg have a really big bad boy 😂🤣😂🤣 Or just wait until a month before imo. That way you get a week to pop. A couple weeks to get it to a strong veg. Then harden her off. Make sure you check your local grow zone number. I drop only autos outdoors because I dont wanna deal with the he light cycles and light dep!

                • learn something new every day and ive grom outdoors for years.
