• Hey DGC about to run my first photoperiod since MN legalized Homegrown. I’ve had 3 decent harvest of autoflowers since 1 year ago. My question is will the ir lights from my security camera affect my grow when I’m flowing cycle?

I will activate night vision in the drying room once a day after the first five or six, to see how far everything has dropped, but that’s it. Haven’t had any issue, so I’m sticking with the plan!🤘🏼🤣🤘🏼

The science IS there, but I leave mine on and have never had an issue that I could document “that” to be the issue. The IR for kinesiology when I he camera is activated so in my mind it is a minimal issue. I don’t watch plants for hours on my phone. I merely check things like wind, lights on/off curiosities, leaf shape (limp, cupping, taco, etc) it’s just a peephole for on the grow. Here is my drying tent view. I have a carbon filter in the dry tent with AC Infinity Cloudline to monitor for temp and humidity. I have a 3L dehumidifier outside the tent that I manage the…humidity with. I don’t putting tent so it does not raise the temp in the tent. My dry tent is in the basement near the AC/Furnace in a closed “furnace/water-heater” room. Over the last 3 years I have really been figuring it out how to simplify the process. I can grow, I can garden, I can change nutes or styles, but no matter how well you grow if the dry and cure are off you might as well have ignored the plant. Find out the finishing methods, perfect them and work backwards. The finish, dry, and cure are the most important part. I focused on temps in the grow and such for 10 years before I really valued the dry properly. ✌🏽❤️. Oh I like to finish a few days outdoors too if sunny. Really raises the terps and energizes the plant. Makes it “Stinkier”, as my wife likes to say.

              • What wavelengths activate photosynthesis is certainly not bro science. Photosynthesis occurs no higher than 700 nm. Inferred is outside the range (850-940 nm). IR will not ‘wake up’ plants during the dark cycle. ‘Go to sleep’ photosystem l absorption peak is 700 nm (P700) and ‘wake up’ photosystem lI absorption peak is 680 nm (P680). Green light will also not trigger photosystem II during dark cycle.
