Are they getting plenty of light? Indoors they would have an oscillating fan blowing on them helping build up stem strength. Simulate wind? Move inside until they’re a bit larger?

I decided to move them indoors and throw a fan on them until they’re a bit older, then will move them out after I take some clones

Sometimes they will shoot up fast if they don’t have enough light right when they pop. Just be careful not to overcompensate and blast them with too much light or air. The stems will fatten up though and become woody. Or, idk if there is a risk of rot here, but I will sometimes bury them up to just below the first set of leaves when I transplant and the stem that is buried will shoot roots. This works with tomatoes too.

I pop my seeds indoors after a couple of weeks I’ll veg them out and start the hardening off process (get use to outdoos). Seedlings can be sensitive.

I would never plant a seed in the ground. Always pop them to first and harden them off.
