For those fast-growing, lanky strains—how many times do you top before it stops being worth it? 8, 16, 32+? Does the extra veg time pay off, or do you hit a point of diminishing returns? Where’s your sweet spot? Do you prefer a taller, stretchier structure, or do you keep things tight and compact? Why?

Depends on a few things. Just because you top a branch doesn’t mean you need to leave more than 1 node and split it into multiple branches. The wider the plant, the wider the root system should be. Roots should be as wide as canopy to ensure branching forms as much girth as possible. Yield comes from stem girth and root mass. Most tree roots do not naturally grow outside the width of the camopy. The width of the plant/pot will determine how many branches can fit comfortably.

    Uno, not Uno Mas. 🤣

Keep it simple lol. Unless you want a monster bush that takes a lot of tending to. That was my experience topping 2 plants twice that should have been in 10-15gal pots not living life in a 5gal. I only did it once this time. Quality over quantity. Get both if you can lol.

I top once and remove a couple fan leaves to expose lower Bud sites both photos and autos. Mine is a small grow where I keep plant sizes manageable on stands with casters. When they start stretching I create a cage using bamboo sticks and plant ties. Every plant is shaped according to how it grows so there is some variation.
