• This is my first time growing autoflowers I think I may be watering too much can. Please take a look at this picture of this plant’s leaves and tell me what you think?

    • I’m not fit to give any advice. But here is a pic of an overwatered auto that has started to bud I think at around day 30. Supposed to be done at 80 days or so. Happened to me before. Still got a nice bud off it…

    • If you think it’s overwatered, it’s overwatered

    • Can any growers tell me about they’re experiences with a 400 watt HID light? How high did you have it from the canopy and what light intensity did you have it at throughout stages of growth? I’m growing four autos in a 5 ft x 2 ft x 3 ft grow tent. I’m in bed and I have in a metal halide bulb which I will be switching to high pressure sodium…

      • I wouldn’t dim HID bulbs as you lose spectrum as a result of the lower wattage. Lower watts, lower temperature. The gas inside the bulb needs to be at a certain temp to ignite correctly. You can keep both lights about 12-18 inches. Young seedlings and clones can’t handle high intensity while fully established plants can handle much…

      • I par meter would help you determine your distance. Look up a chart for ppfd during different stages and try to hit those marks by raising and lowering your light. I used to run 1000w HID with no dim. They were often pinned as high as possible and plants grew to them.

    • What’s the earliest you can give your plants silica? My autoflowers are two weeks old they got a little leggy as seedlings wondering if silica can help strengthen the stems?

        • I usually give silica as soon as feeding starts, if using synthetic. I’d say 2 weeks in is about right, otherwise.

        • I use Silicium and I start with the water used to “pre-hydrate” my Coco with Recharge. Then transplant the seedling or clone in the Coco. I mix it in every watering through the first 2 weeks of flower. Then I switch to Silicium Bloom while the flowers are developing. The bloom also has some amino acid that help according to Jerin. I use…

        • I’m back again LOL my first time growing autos so I might be on here with a few questions. Today I want to ask about leggy seedlings using a new light didn’t have it positioned right so I got some very leggy seedlings. Now that they are autoflower, I germinated them and planted them straight into their final pots. I don’t have a whole lot of…

          • You could stake them if they’re falling over. If they arent then dont worry and and just try and fix the light. Try dimming if possible and getting the light closer, or even just closer if that’s what they need.

          • Air movement.

Can you add more medium or are you at the top of the pot?

          • I stick a piece of garden wire next to it and create a loop at the top to support the stem. Always fix the issue, but this will keep her upright until the stalk stregthens.

          • Good to always allow a little extra space in the pot. With starting seedlings fill the pot a little more than half full.

If they stretch you can fill the pot the the brim.. I’ve even mounded worm castings high above the rim for the reachers. Planning ahead for possible circumstances is key to being ready for anything. By monitoring your…
